Broken Brothers

Bio

Blending traditional folk and Americana style with rock and roll influences, Broken Brothers create a sound that is both familiar and unique.
In the winter of 2009 in Golden, British Columbia, Eric Larocque and Benjamin Caldwell came together to form the band BrokenDown Suitcase.
Travelling to Europe that fall for their first of many tours across the continent, they knew they were on the right path.

From 2010 to 2011 Broken Down Suitcase continued to work on a unique combination of folk music and rock and roll and honed their vocal harmonies that had garnered them much praise. Before the release of their first album they had completed two western Canadian tours, one nationwide tour, two European tours, a stint on the Via Rail On-Board Musician Program and were nominated for a Kootenay Music Award.
Broken Down Suitcase released their debut album in 2012 with a third western Canadian and European tour and were nominated for two more Kootenay music Awards; Best Roots and Blues Act and Best Song for “The Liar.”

After a four year hiatus, Broken Down Suitcase reunited in 2018 and rebranded as Broken Brothers with another western Canadian and European tour. Eric Larocque and Benjamin
Caldwell are back and ready to take Broken Brothers to the next level, sharing their stories through folk music with the world.
